Help
How a store gets going on OrderDesk, and the questions that come up in the first week.
Start in fifteen minutes
1. Set your store name, logo, phone and WhatsApp number in Settings.
2. Add your delivery areas and what each one costs.
3. Add accounts for the people who work the desk, pick, bill and deliver.
4. Copy your order link and put it on your WhatsApp Business profile and Google listing.
5. Print the QR sheet and put it at the counter.
Customers who keep using WhatsApp
That is expected, and it is fine. Open New order, paste their message into the list box, add the phone number and address, and submit. The order joins the same workflow as one sent through the order page — you gain the structure without asking anyone to change how they order.
An item is not available
Mark the line Unavailable or record a substitute. What happens next follows the preference the customer chose: call them, send something similar, skip it, or ask on WhatsApp. If they need to be asked, the order moves to Needs attention so it does not sit forgotten.
Billing
Keep billing on your existing system. In OrderDesk, enter the invoice number and final amount, then attach the PDF or photograph the printed bill. The customer can see and download it from their tracking page.
Delivery
Assign a driver from the delivery queue. They open OrderDesk on their phone, see only their own deliveries with the address, landmark, amount and payment method, and mark each one delivered — or report a problem, which sends the order back to Needs attention.
The customer keeps asking “has it left?”
Send them their tracking link once. It updates itself as your team works. From the WhatsApp button on the order you can send the received, invoice-ready, out-for-delivery or delivered message with the link already filled in.
Things OrderDesk deliberately does not do
It has no product catalogue, no stock, no online cart and no payment gateway. It does not replace your billing software or your accounts. It manages the order around the shop you already run.
